15 Best WordPress Plugins

I was prowling the web earlier today and I ran across this article on the 15 Best WordPress Plugins and so far its a pretty great list.
Several of the plugins I’ve used and wouldn’t try to run a blog without them.
I’ve gone back and forth about using Popups on my blog. It’s one of those things that I may personally hate but if they get results….?

A Content Management System (CMS) is one of those terms that defines itself: it’s a system for managing the content of a website. Content Management Systems are designed to seperate the actual content – the information on a website – from the way it is presented. That allows non-technical users all of the advantages of a CMS without having to learn the technical aspects of it.
Two of our favorite platforms to work with are Joomla!, which is designed as a CMS, and WordPress, which is best known for blogging. If you’re interested in using WordPress as a CMS Selene at iDesign Studios has an amazing tutorial here.
Although Joomla! was named in 2009 as the world’s most popular CMS, since then WordPress has taken over that distinction.
As WordPress merged the functionality of the Multi-User version into it’s basic platform our primary loyalty has switched to WordPress as well. And of course – no complaints about the price!

I’m taking a look at amping up the performance of my web site and I’m taking W3 Total Cache for a spin.
It’s recommended by almost everyone that uses WordPress because it really streamlines the way the web site loads and make it noticeably fast.
